We have 9 rooms available currently, 6 En-suite rooms (3 with a river view, one with a lovely view of the woods opposite), Includes 2 en-suite King Size Bed rooms (one with river view) also one ground floor en-suite; double room (includes single bed) this room has a view over the garden and across the river. This room is ideal for those who may have difficulty getting up the stairs.
There is 1 en-suite twin room (2 x single beds, with great river view), two budget single rooms with shared bathroom, one with sink and one with sink and toilet. Most of our rooms have high ceilings and large windows, which give a delightful feeling of space.
Things you may see at the Firs
There are deer that can often be seen just across the river, along the tracks running through the trees. They do visit our grounds occasionally, leaving hoof prints and other signs they have visited. We managed to get some pictures of them one evening (see below).
There are trains running every day across the historical Albert Edward Bridge, just along the river from the Firs, in view from the bottom of the garden. These trains take the containers full of wood pellets to be burnt to generate electricity at the Ironbridge Power Station. The power station is due to be de-commissioned on 31st December 2015; so love it or hate it; its days are numbered.
We have ample parking facilities on site on a first come first served basis, although places can be reserved.
We will ask if you have any special requirements on booking; so please let us know so we can make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Throughout the gorge, there are many excellent pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes, many within walking distance.
The Firs is also well situated to allow our guests to take advantage of the many famous museums found in the Ironbridge Severn Gorge.
The largest of these, the Victorian Town at Blists Hill is a venue not to be missed. Please follow link for more information:
Another, within walking distance is the “Enginuity” Museum, used by many of the region's schools, providing an fascinating, interactive and educational experience.

There are many local fishing pools for fishermen and fisherwomen to explore and enjoy.
Here at the Firs we have full fishing rights into the River Severn at the riverside of our property, which our guests may fish for free during their stay with us.

We were quite excited to see a couple of deer in the riverside garden at the Firs (around 10:30pm one evening). They took in turns to keep watch whilst they ate from the bushes in our garden :-)
